Why is it so?

Have you been wondering why the egg shell disappeared? The vinegar, which is dilute (weak) acetic acid destroys the eggshell. Since the shell is what makes the egg hard, the skin is left behind. A vinegar soaked egg feels soft and rubbery. Yum! (not really)

Thankyou funsters I enjoyed following your findings in your experiment with the egg. I bet you all wanted to taste it!!!! I am still wondering though did the vinegar dilute any smell?
